This excursion embraces the two most significant world-renown features of the Bay of Plenty…...the icon kiwifruit, often referred to as the world's healthiest fruit, and the internationally recognised Te Puia Māori Cultural and Geothermal Wonderland.

Depart port with your experienced Māori step-on guide, and travel through the beach and harbour towns of Tauranga and Mount Maunganui, on your way into the Māori Cultural world of the Waitaha Māori people.

Travel over harbour bridge and through downtown Tauranga. Drive through Te Puke town (Kiwifruit Capital of the World). Pause at Māori marae and Māori school, past the tiny historic Māori church and then up and back beautiful Gridley Rd, flanked either side with green and gold kiwi vines and avocado trees.
